Shower Base leaks. In most cases I run into shower leaks coming from the caulking around the door of the shower. First check your caulking if possible aim the shower head at the shower door and let the water hit the shower door, this will tell you a lot. Now if you don't find the leak coming from the shower door. Check the shower base. This is what you can do to check the shower base for leaks. Stop up the shower drain with a cloth tile or something that will keep the shower from draining and letting the water out, then fill the shower base up with water and let set for about 24 hours and see what happens. If there is a leak check your shower drain closely and look for any looseness or missing rubber gasket if this is the problem repair the drain or replace the rubber gasket. If this doesn't do the trick it could be a hairline crack in your shower base and of course this would need to be replace.
