Is it a two-story house? If so, yes, this will make it a little more difficult. Does it have very little attic space and is the attic full of junk that’s in the way like in the video. These estimates would not be for homes in areas that the temperature gets very cold, below freezing and plumbing is in the basement. Hello My name is Claude Taylor and I have been a Plumber for over 30 plus years and most of that time I spent as a Service Plumber going into home and business repairing all times of plumbing. And one of the answers I get asked the most is. Why can’t you guys give us an estimate over the phone. Well, that is a good question. First and foremost, I understand this question after all I am a customer too. I get it. But to answer the question. First the customer service person on the other end of the phone may not be a plumber and you just may, be getting the person that dispatches the jobs out of the plumber and these dispatchers may not be plumbers and more than more than most likely that dispatch doesn’t understand the plumbing problem you're having and they may not know anything about plumbing at all. And let’s say you do get a plumber on the phone and yes, that plumber could give you an estimate, but any good plumber needs to see the problem first hand to be more accurate in his or her assessment. So, with all this in mind I as a plumber would like to do my best to get your questions answered to the best of my knowledge and get you guys somewhere in the ballpark of what certain plumbing jobs may cost you. Keeping in mind all situations can a will be different. I hope this will help you guys with making a more knowledgeable decision on your next plumbing endeavor bringing us all to work together. And for those of you that have the inspiration and love the challenge of doing your own plumbing job and want to save money.
