Meeting Morani "the friendly rhino" twice in my life was an interesting experience.
Please make his spirit live on and educate yourself and do what you can to protect and save wildlife.

As stated in this video, this was a VERY RARE opportunity to get close to a wild rhino.
We see all kinds of people/wildlife interaction videos here on You Tube from crazy places calling themselves zoos, i.e. the one in Argentina that will let you take photos with adult lions, tigers and bears. Or in China where baby animals are pulled from their mothers so the public can take photos with them. And in the US, as reported in my video "Lions, Tigers and Scams," we are fooled by people showing off lions and tigers for their educational shows which bring in money for them only to breed more of them so they have cubs to use for photo booths. This is not helping the few wild tigers & lions left and is doing nothing for their conservation. These cats you see like the white tigers & ligers and most of the lions and tigers are not in any accredited breeding programs or facilities with conservation in mind.
Many parks in South Africa will offer you a chance to play with lion cubs. These animals will not be released into the wild.

As this economy gets worse, values take a back seat to what will bring in money. Support only real conservation centers, zoos, rescues, and parks. Research places before giving them your money and don't be fooled into giving your donations to further advance the problem of poor welfare to both captive and wild animals.
"I fear that conservationist who use bottom-line reasoning as the key argument for saving the animals they love are actually dooming them to extinction"- DR. Richard Leakey
